At Mums Who Wine we host regular events for our mums across the country. Our events have been created with the purpose of providing a space for mums to enjoy a night out and to build friendships with other mums in their community. Most importantly they are also VERY VERY fun! 

Our events range from large style mumma dance parties (lots of 80/90s music) to small intimate member only dinners and retreats. We know every mum is different, so our focus is on connection, inclusion and enabling every mum to fill their cup through our events. 

The stand out feature of our events, is that majority of our mums attend solo to our events – which is a testament to the safe space we have created. 

Our large style events are open to both member and non members, with members receiving up to $25 discount per ticket. Our smaller, intimate events are member only and an additional bonus of your annual membership.

We are very excited to be hosting our first Mums Who Wine #Selfcaresaves Member Retreat in Dromana (Vic) on 20 - 23 February 2024. 

Hosted at the stunning Bay Views from Drury Lane - this is a powerful and life changing retreat focussed on setting you up for 2024.  

We love connecting mums and giving a chance for mums to have time off the mum clock, but this retreat will go deeper than we ever have before. You will leave empowered, equipped and encouraged. Not only will you see the impact, but your family and those around you.

  • 3 nights accommodation at Bay Views from Drury Lane (shared and solo room options available);
  • All meals cooked and prepared by our own private chef (breakfast, lunch and our amazing feast style banquets and 2 course dinners!);

Sessions:

The focus of this retreat is to help support your mental health and empower you with tools and strategies for 2024. Sessions will include, but not limited to: 

  • Learning how the brain is wired to keep us ‘safe’. In this you will discover what areas your brain is keeping you safe. 
  • Tools to use in a morning routine/health habits  to set you up and equip you to be the best version of yourself;
  • Learning how to recruit others in your system and strategies for communicating with your family what you need.
  • Practical sessions to set your own morning routine that works for YOU - these will be tailored to your individual needs and the needs of your family. 
  • Understanding boundaries and identifying where in your life you need to set healthy boundaries to protect your time and mental headspace;
  • How to find peace amongst the chaos of mum life and developing simple strategies to navigate times of overwhelm;
  • How to ignite and follow your passion and for some - identifying what it is you are passionate about! 

Outcomes:

The focus of this retreat is to send you home different and equipped. Here are a few of the outcomes you will achieve from the retreat;

  • Better health (improved sleep, inner health and fitness)
  • Increased happiness by better understanding of self;
  • Better relationships;
  • Decreased fatigue;
  • Practical strategies that you can use every day to navigate stress, overwhelm and to stay focussed and grounded.

Tickets will be released at 1pm on Friday 8 December at 1pm.

To secure your spot we will require a $250 deposit to secure your spot. We usually request a 50% deposit, however very mindful we are a few weeks before Christmas so we are just asking for a small deposit so we can secure your spot!

ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS:

1. Lauren Oliver – CEO and Founder, Mums Who Wine

Lauren is the Founder of the national organisation Mums Who Wine which is dedicated to creating a space for mums to invest in their mental health and self care. Prior to launching Mums Who Wine in 2017, Lauren spent 10 years practising as a Senior Insurance Litigation Lawyer specialised in psychiatric injury and bullying claims.

Lauren's passion is to support the mental health and wellbeing of her community. During Covid Lockdowns she ran daily sessions with her members to help support them and empower them during this time. 

She is also an incredible leader, having mentored many women over the past 15+ years helping them with their emotional and spiritual growth. In 2022 she undertook a 9 month Fellowship Program to learn and understand Worldview and Culture to ensure she could serve her community in an even better way.

2. Amanda Hodgson – Healthy Habit Coach

Amanda is the Founder of AH Coaching, a performance coaching business she launched after working with business clients and realising that people rarely set targets to their true potential. 

Amanda has a passion to ensure no one goes to bed with regret and wakes the next day ready to #bebetter than they were the day before.

Outside of business, Amanda is passionate about spending time with her family (her husband and two sons), exercising and has made a conscious effort to not forget to have fun along the way.

Please note that because our retreats are limited to a small number of attendees, to allow for a more personable, intimate experience, our cancellation policy is in place to help us work together sharing expenses that may arise from unexpected cancellations.

Claire Hooper – So Proud

So many moments to be proud.

From the big performances – weddings, award ceremonies, falling over in public. To the small performances – missing the train, eating sh*t at ten pin bowling, nearly falling over in public but turning it into an adorable stumble instead. So proud. Plus, Claire recently went to a three hour primary school concert with no bar, so we probably need to talk about that. Seen on Question Everything and host of podcast I’m The Worst with Claire Hooper.

2. What is the cost? 

The cost for this fabulous, all inclusive retreat for 4 incredible child free nights is:

  • $1850pp - shared room (2 x single beds)

  • $2350pp - solo room (1 x double bed) 

We simply require a $500 deposit to secure your spot with the remaining payments to be made via two installments next year (First installment by 1 February 2024 and Second installment by 1 April 2024).

Payment plans are also available if you want to pay off in smaller installments over a longer period. We are very flexible and will work with you to make it work as much as we can! 

 

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Please note that because our retreats are limited to a small number of attendees, to allow for a more personable, intimate experience, our cancellation policy is in place to help us work together sharing expenses that may arise from unexpected cancellations.

  1. $500 deposit is fully refundable within 8 weeks of retreat.

  2. Full balance due 6 weeks before start date of retreat unless otherwise noted.

  3. Cancellation requests submitted within 30 days of retreat date, 50% of total retreat amount will be refunded. If we can fill the spot (full amount will be refunded). 

  4. Within 14 days of the retreat: sorry but no refunds given. However if you can find someone to replace you, then we will refund the full amount. 

FAQ:

1. What if I am coming on my own - will you allocate me a room to share?

Yes, unless you advise that you wish to have a private room, all single person bookings will be allocated another mumma to share with.* Where possible we will try to put people in same locations together.

2. Do I have to be vaccinated to attend?

Yes, all guests 12 years and older are required to be 'fully vaccinated' with a COVID-19 vaccine that is approved or recognised by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).

Guests are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 if 2 weeks have passed since their second dose in a 2-dose series (such as Pfizer or Moderna vaccines); or, 2 weeks after a one dose series such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.

3. Do I need a VISA?

Yes, you must purchase a Visa on Arrival (VOA). Now available - electronic visa on Arrival (e-VoA) which costs $50. This will need to be organised and covered by you. 

4. Do I need to attend all of the organised activities? 

No, absolutely not! We have organised this but this is YOUR retreat, so if you want to skip a group dinner, or relax by the pool instead of having high tea that is perfectly ok. Self care looks different for everyone.

2. $2199pp - Solo Room (8 Spots Available)

Your own solo room with King/Queen bed.

To secure your spot we will require a $500 deposit for a shared room and $750 deposit for a solo room. 

Installment payment dates:

After your deposit has been paid, you will need to pay the remaining payment in two installments:

A few final things to note:

1. If you and a friend are doing a shared room, you BOTH need to purchase an individual spot and pay a deposit to secure each spot. 

2. You can purchase more than one spot at a time, however these need to be for valid Mums Who Wine Members and we will contact and request the details of each attendee. 

3. Once the 18 spots are allocated, we are sold out. 

We are so excited and know this is going to be an incredible getaway! 

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED:

Return Flights

To confirm that flights are NOT included in the getaway price and will need to be organised separately.

We will have mums literally flying from across the country to attend the getaway, so organising group flights was not an option.

Once your getaway spot is secured, we will create a private FB group for attendees which will enable you to chat and connect and also coordinate flights if you need, so you are not travelling alone. 

These FB group have been a huge hit with previous getaways and retreats, with many friendships formed online before the event even began! 

Additional lunches/drinks:

We have tried to include as much as we can so you won't need much spending money, but of course there will be a few extra things to purchase like some lunches, extra drinks, shopping/pampering so bring a little extra spending money :)
