At Mums Who Wine we are passionate about enabling mothers to invest time in themselves by prioritising their own self-care. We know that without this time, mothers are at a higher risk of experiencing isolation, loss of identity and in some cases perinatal anxiety and depression. It is estimated that approximately 100,000 Australians (both men and women) will experience perinatal anxiety or depression every year. The alarming issue is that many of these will go undiagnosed and will not receive the appropriate treatment.
Mums Who Wine is proud to partner with PANDA – Perinatal Anxiety & Depression Australia in their mission to help raise awareness and reduce stigma associated with the illness and to support expecting and new parents (both mums and dads) through the challenges of pregnancy and new parenthood.
PANDA provides a vital service across Australia by offering the only specialist national perinatal mental health telephone counselling service, as well as reducing stigma around perinatal anxiety and depression, and providing education services to health professionals and the wider community. PANDA’s services include a National Helpline, Community and Health Professional Education and supported playgroups within Victoria.
If you or someone you know is struggling with perinatal anxiety and depression please seek assistance by visiting PANDA– Perinatal Anxiety & Depression Australia or calling the National Helpline 1300 726 306.
Mums Who Wine – proudly supporting PANDA.
