Mark Oliver | COO
Mark is our Chief Operations Officer, Head Strategist, Father of Three, Scotch Lover and Husband to Lauren.
He is Lauren’s greatest supporter explaining his role as “turning Lauren’s vision into a reality”. He is also the Founder of “Dads Who” – the brother to Mums Who Wine focussed on empowering and supporting fathers and building community.
Don’t let his love of top label scotch confuse you, Mark is a proud country boy having grown up in rural Victoria in the Swan Hill. After completing his teaching degree in Ballarat, he returned to Swan Hill for several years teaching and mentoring youth and young adults in his community. In 2007 he left country life and headed to Melbourne to undertake an intensive 3 year development and leadership course which is where he met Lauren and in 2012 they were married.
Between 2012 – 2015 Mark and Lauren were heavily involved with training and mentoring young adults to enable them to find their purpose and know their value. This involved running young adult camps and conferences and having several young adults live with them in their home. Once they became parents, their passion shifted to supporting mothers and fathers in their community.
Like Lauren, Mark is not a stranger to stepping out in faith and tackling new opportunities when presented to him. This can be identified in his work life alone having gone from a primary school teacher, to stay at home dad, Thermomix Area Manager, to political advisor and COO of Mums Who Wine. His mission is to impact lives and is always looking for the greatest platform and avenue to achieve this.
Outside of supporting mothers and fathers, his passion is anything sport related (footy, golf, cricket, basketball), American Style Bbq (he has been known to stay up all night to smoke the perfect brisket) and his growing collection of aged whiskey.
